b17 Bug: Shields are activated when starting game

There might be a bug in the game: When starting a game the shields are activated, already. I’m not 100% sure but from what I can see it happens after “Autoplay” (the computer plays automatically when waiting for a longer time).

Just tried with beta 18 and couldn’t reproduce it.

Perhaps you reached an achievement before:

Officer:
Rank 4 reach rank Lieutenant Reward: start game with armor

If you reached that – all games further on – you will start with an armor…

Ah o.k.. I didn’t know about this reward. And I’m pretty sure that I’ve reached “Lieutenant” at some stage.

Does this forum software support folders? If yes, it might be a good idea to create a folder “Resolved”. Then, resolved issues like thise one could be moved there.

You can merge posts (upper right of the 1st entry of each post).
Seems you could make a new post “resolved” and merge into it.

Seems to… yes – but only I as adminstrator can do this.

Thank you for creating the sub-forum, Malban. Perhaps this is an overkill because until now we have personal threads and not so much topics per issue/problem/bug. Let’s see how this continues and works out…
