    Nico: sometime there is a permanent buzzing sound inside the options menu
    
    Nico: Option Menu is "not finished"... There is no "sound" in the options menu (no music) - 
          so probably the buzz of the last not is echoing endlessly... I will look at it while finalizing the options.

    I can not keep track of all things done – in this post – so I will unstick it, and only on non regular basis update it. Following things were “done” the last two weeks (that I recorded):
    (not ordered, not mentioned are bugs I fixed directly when discovered/reported)

    done: sm 16 on cranky - looks a bit off
     Calib 16 and text correctly

    Actually the “size” of the screen changed, when I added the “in arrow” icons. To fit the arrows to the screen I had to change the dimensions. Thats when the content became to small (for the now bigger screen).

    There is as yet no new script. What I corrected was, that every time you left HighScore/Acgievements/Options – it would go back to the title…

    I like suggestion A better.

    The scroll text takes quite a while – and if there are no Icons – I guess people will say “what am I todo – there are no icons” :-).
    So switching the icons on later is IMHO not so desireable.

     

    Actually the whole “scripting” was done using the storyboard mode of Vecci. Which is still a quite “crude” thing.
    I’ll see what I can do to come up with a better “mix”…

    Speed- and Bullet- is -S and -B.

    Gee… You know what I really loath… editing vectorlists over and over again.
    While what you say makes sense – I’m not sure I will do this… when everything else is in place, and it still bothers you, nag me about it again… ๐Ÿ™‚

    Thing is – all these “icons” – are more complicated than they look:
    – it must be drawn
    – it must be rotated
    – the “symbol” is a different vectorlist than the icon
    – the symbols start point must be matched with the icons start port
    – and that for every rotation
    – there are restrictions on vector strengths (for weird vectrex)

    its not just the matter of going into the editor and change one position…

    Symbol for power-ups

    I tried having different symbols for power up/down/money/rank. I think a triangle Up is quite similar to a triangle down. I think I keep it the way it is…

    Although what I’ll probably do is to use the initials of the score that is replaced by the new score. So one can confirm the current initials by just pressing 3 times button 3.

    If it is all the same to you – than I’ll do page wise :-).
    The “autoscroll” is again “fiddlesticks” because if I do an autoscroll “every” round – it will moreor less zzzzaap right to the bottom – so I’d would have to insert a slow motion counter … etc etc etc

    Hm. You keep stucking you fingers into the wound… Yes I thought so too – but never came around doing it.
    Sometimes I am just to lazy. I have to split up the vectorlist and print it twice. Hope the cycles keep up…

    Shop: Speed โ€“

    Hehe , I don’t know either if you ever will buy it :-).

    Perhapsthis is more idiosyncrasy of mine. In the original Warblade, the speed of the fighter could (for my taste) be too fast – so I was always glad, that I could slow it down if need be. Perhaps I should allow higher player speeds, so this makes more sense ๐Ÿ™‚

    Perhaps you reached an achievement before:

    Officer:
    Rank 4 reach rank Lieutenant Reward: start game with armor

    If you reached that – all games further on – you will start with an armor…

    First time start – it wants a calibration – every other start should be with title screen.

    Vectorblade_Beta18.bin – 7th June 2019

    – and another one…
    – finalized no buzz calibration (a few bugs remained before)
    – added the “help system” anywhere but “in game”, Button 1 displays a help screen
    – the “options” font is better now
    – collecting a “full” EXTRA while already using a laser rewards now 20000 points
    – leaving high score/achievement/options -> now returns to desktop
    – fine calibration now with button 2/3
    – boss hit is brighter (from $5f to $7f)
    – stars in highscore can reach further

    Next steps:

    • add a trophy for achievments
    • probably final boss art from Jacek
    • the particles as of now cannot be controlled any longer – since the “help” occupies the button – what to do?

    Most of calibrations is done, need there be more?

    Next big thing would be MH…

    I completely debugged the minestorm … I could not find anything.

    Please look out for this – and possible describe the circumstances this happens.

    No other tester as yet found this bug!
